This is how stories will be judged normally. It will be a Grading System like in school. A, B, C, D, F. There are a number of categories we will judge! Note that I still going to think this over and I may change my mind on one or two of the possible judged areas. So keep with me guys.
Characters - Well every story has to have characters in it, whether they are from the T.V. series or your own custom made ones. If they are from the show they shouldn't be blown out of proportion unless that was your aim, and if they are your own characters they should have some sort of depth or uniqueness to them. What I'm saying is a story needs characters to keep it going too, and if the characters are bland and boring to read about then the story itself might not find much success. Stay true to yourself and your characters and if its a show character, try to be true to who he or she is unless you are going for some sort of AU or comedy.
Plot - The writings shouldn't be mindless. There should always be some hint of a plot or at least a reason the characters are interacting the way they are, that sort of thing. Basically what the story is about and overall your story should flow and well.. not be bland.
Detail - The meat of the story, if there isn't any detail in a fic then its probably going to be deemed as 'BORING!', not to be too mean. You should try to include details so the story still runs and reads smoothly but also spark interest!
Grammar - Well we do have spell-check for a reason. This won't be that heavily judged at times but if a story has a LOT of grammar and spelling errors, that calls for point deduction.
Length - This won't be a heavily judged category because a friend made a good point. Quality over quanity; if you can write a story that is fifteen pages long, that's just nifty. But if the details and fluidity of the story is bad, then nobody is going to want to read to the end! Basically just go with what you know and can do, and concentrate on the important stuff like details and plot. Length will just come naturally to you.
Requirements & Theme - Did you guys fit the requirements I put for you? Did something come up short or was your story not necessarily fitting in with the genre or challenge I put up for you? That is what this category is all about.
Also it should be noted that there will be another judge as for me, I will always be the main judge.
